Little Gym

I recently signed Caroline up for a Little Gym class. She LOVES climbing on/over anything and everything. We went to our first class last week (with our friends, Laura and Parker) and Caroline had a blast. I didn't know what to expect b/c it usually takes Caroline a little while to warm up to new experiences. But she quite literally jumped right in and had so much fun. The class is awesome...it's not just a gym class...they played instruments, sang songs/listened to music, played with bubbles and balls, and (Caroline's personal favorite) had free time in the gym to climb and explore.

...-3!!! Caroline loved flipping so much, she's been asking to do it at home. So we've been doing lots of back flips lately. Caroline will now even put her hands down on the floor in the middle of the flip. I'll try to get it on video soon...it's cute!

The Sweetest Words & More

We are getting so excited for Fall and cannot wait for more cooler days, pumpkins, yummy soups, playing in the leaves, cute Fall toddler clothes ;-), the holidays just around the corner, and on and on the list goes. This time of year is so fabulous!! Caroline loves playing in our front yard and on our front porch. I snapped some pictures while she was out playing the other day.

She recently learned how to walk up and down our steep hill out front without falling. She walks up and down over and over. It never gets old. Who needs toys when you've got a hill?!?

Please don't ask me why she's kissing this pumpkin. I guess she thought it needed some love.

I saved the best for last!! Just recently, Caroline has started saying "wuv oo" back to us when we tell her "I love you". They are the sweetest words I've heard as a mommy so far. I tell her I love her hundreds of times a day just to hear her say it back :-) Here it is on video:

Here We Go, Cowboys, Here We Go!!

We are so excited for the Cowboys/Giants game tonight! Caroline is cheering on her Cowboys in her cute cheerleading outfit my wonderful friend, Kelly, gave her last year. It fits perfectly and Caroline loves being a cheerleader. She has been shouting "GO" all night :-) I tried to get her to hold her pom poms but she wanted to hold her baby and a nail file instead.

As explained in this post , anytime the Cowboys play the Giants, there is a BIG rivalry going on in our house. Matt is actually at the new Cowboys stadium for the FIRST game ever played there as I type...I'm SO jealous. He got a couple of tickets through work and his boss wanted the extra one. I'm still pouting that I didn't get to go. The real travesty of it all is that Matt is a GIANTS fan...he SO doesn't deserve to be at the first Cowboys game in their new stadium. I hope he doesn't get hurt by some fans while he's cheering on the G-men (really, there is no sarcasm there...I really hope he doesn't get injured :-)

Anyway, Caroline and I are here cheering on our Boys, along with my mom, brother, aunt and Nannie. We're hoping for a win!!

Welcome...

...Richard Preston Dunlap!!!

Our sweet friends, Amy and Craig, welcomed their second precious baby boy into the world a little over a week ago. We enjoyed getting to visit them in the hospital and LOVED getting to meet Press. He is a gorgeous baby, and we are so thankful he and Amy are healthy and doing well. Press came into the world 4 weeks early and is so tiny at 5 1/2 pounds. We couldn't believe how small his feet and toes were. So cute!

Friday Photos

Here are some pics of my sweet girl from today. She's looking like such a "big girl" lately.

This is how Caroline can be found a lot of the time at home: "bowling ball" fingers in mouth and baby in hand! Love that smirk...I see that face many times throughout the day, especially when Little Miss is being mischevious.

17 months is a fun age...Caroline makes us laugh a lot with her sweet and sassy personality! I've been warned that the terrible, uh I mean terrific twos, start showing up here and there around this age. We're starting to see more tantrums, and Caroline is really loving to "assert" her independence more now, if you know what I mean. I'm trying to be consistent with how I handle this behavior but it's t.o.u.g.h. Thank goodness there is always some funny stuff mixed in during the more challenging moments...like spontaneous dancing. Here is a picture of Caroline breaking it down in the kitchen, Forrest Gump-style :-)
