Halloween 2012

Halloween 2012 was a blast! We began the day with a trick-or-treating parade and Halloween party in Caroline's class at school. Caroline just happened to be the Super Star Student so she got to lead the way...very exciting for her :-)

Some of the spooky decor...plus Matthew who loved attending sissy's party:

The kids loved playing Halloween Bingo and winning prizes!

Matthew had some other little brothers to play with:
She looks so big in this picture (sigh)

After school, Caroline crashed and took a 2 hour nap (she hasn't taken a nap in MONTHS). She was so tired from all of the festivities at school. Once Caroline woke up, I got the kids dressed in their costumes, Matt came home from work, and we went to our friends, the Matthews' house, for a yummy chili dinner and trick-or-treating. The kids loved passing out candy while we ate. Then it was our turn. What fun we had! Caroline and Parker were SO into it this year and got so much candy. Ally and Matthew (the littles) were as interested in trick-or-treating as most two year olds are :-) Matthew did love walking up to the houses and saying "Tick uh Teat"...it was precious! He couldn't believe people were just dropping candy into his bucket. He had a look of awe about him most of the night, ha.
Love this picture of Parker and Ally:

There were so many kids out and about in our neighborhood, and we loved running into lots of our friends!

I've never been a huge fan of Halloween (I, personally, hate dressing up...I know, I'm the Halloween scrooge...and I don't like all the scary stuff), but celebrating it with kiddos sure makes it fun. This year was no exception...we had a very happy Halloween!
