3 1/2 Years Old

Caroline is 3 1/2 years old!!
First, a little about our experience with "age 3" so far. The first 4 months of age 3 were quite different than age two. We really didn't experience the "terrible twos" with Caroline. What we have experienced are the challenging threes. Once Caroline turned three, she began crying/throwing tantrums over every.little.thing. She also began testing us...big time. All of a sudden, she didn't want to obey us anymore, and we had to re-vamp the way we handled her behavior. So we started a sticker chart and added TONS of positive reinforcement into Caroline's day. This worked wonders and (knock on wood) the past two months have been so much better. We seem to be through the most challenging time, and I'm seeing glimpses of that "magical age four" my other mommy friends talk so much about.
At 3 1/2 years old, Caroline is:
a helper, extremely talkative, sings non-stop, glued to my hip still, smart, perceptive, analytical, challenging, sensitive, cautious, loving, independent, loves to learn, likes to do things her way, is serious more than she is silly, loves to make us laugh, is crazy about her baby brother, and is the joy and light of our lives!!!!
