We had a fun time celebrating LOVE week! We kicked things off by learning our love verse, Deut. 6:5. We made a craft to go along with it:
Then we made a countdown chain for the daddy/daughter dance. A certain someone was having a hard time waiting for the big day ;-) The countdown chain really helped!
We got some fun surprises and cards in the mail during Valentine's week from sweet family. The kids were especially excited about Mimi and PopPop's gifts:
Caroline's last day to celebrate Valentine's Day as a Preschooler!!
Valentine's Day, the kids had school/MDO and celebrated with parties in their classroom. We played at the park with friends after school then came home to take baths and get ready for our family party.
Ready to celebrate:
We spent the evening having our family Valentine's party which consisted of eating a heart-shaped pizza and a heart cake for dessert (which I tried to make and failed miserably of course...when will I learn I am not a baker!), opening presents, facetiming with Mimi and PopPop, and playing "hide the candy hearts" (a game Caroline made up to eat even more candy :-)
It wasa lovely day!!
