The Easter bunny visited our house on Saturday night!
Matthew got some outdoor toys and a new "MoMo" book
Caroline got a lap desk, some outdoor toys and a few of her favorite things:
The kids enjoyed going through their baskets when they woke up on Easter Sunday. It was fun to hear Caroline's excitement upstairs. We got ready, went to church then came back to our house to take some pics and open our last Resurrection egg.
Daddy/Daughter pic:
Trying to get a picture of the two of them...
Poor Matthew came down with a terrible virus on Easter and cried almost all day :-(
So not many happy pics of Matthew from this special day:
Striking a strange pose in front of our roses:
Opening our last Resurrection egg with Daddy. Caroline really started to understand the resurrection story this year, and we had lots of good conversation about Jesus dying for our sins then rising again three days later. The eggs really helped solidify the story in Caroline's mind, and I look forward to using them every year.
We headed to my mom's in the afternoon for a yummy lunch and Easter egg hunts.
Taking a rest break before the easter egg hunt:
He had his basket and cell phone...ready to hunt :-)
Ready...Set...Hunt!
Next, it was the big kids (me, Matt and my bro) turn. It's a hunt to the death because my mom hides money in the eggs :-)
Mimi and the kiddos watching us make fools out of ourselves:

We had a special day celebrating the risen Lord with our sweet family! Happy Easter 2012!
