Here are some pictures of the cranial scan we had yesterday (sorry I didn't get to post yesterday, we had a crazy busy day).
First, they put stickers in front of Caroline's ears...doesn't she look baffled?
Second, they tied a scarf around Caroline's head that can only be described as a glorified doo rag.
How funny is this pic? Here's Caroline, gangsta style :-)
They put Caroline in this machine and a laser scanned the outside of her head.
She was such a trooper! Here she is, happy to be done with all of it.
Unfortunately, Caroline's head symmetry has not improved all that much, even with Caroline sleeping on her tummy. So we've decided to get the cranial band. We only have a small window of opportunity to fix Caroline's head shape so we need to do it now. I'm not thrilled about the whole helment thing, but I am thankful that it will help her. We get the helmet a week from Monday or Tuesday. Many posts to come on yet another adventure we're about to embark on with our sweet daughter. Thanks for all of your prayers yesterday!!

Wow, that is different than how they did Paige's scan. Her stocking went over her whole face and she looked like a baby bank robber. :)
Caroline will look darling in the band. No worries Mama!
:)
Good luck to you and little Caroline. All of this will be over before you know it. I have a few friends whose kids had cranial bands and I had patients who had them at OCH as well- the results really are amazing!! I'll be thinking about you guys!
My friend Emily told me about your blog and your most recent post about your daughter getting a helmet. My daughter had to wear a helmet for about 4 months. If you have any questions I would love to help you. Jenna adjusted so great to the helmet. It just became a part of her and I think it was harder on me than her!
check out my blog for pictures (we attached bows with velcro to make the helmet a little cuter!) or e-mail me (sarah_lock@hotmail.com)
We are definately praying for you two and of course little Caroline. The unexpected can be so hard - let me know if I can do anything.
Love, K
